Hate Files: 16 Year Old Beaten to Death

Disclaimer: I use some colorful words in this post. Foolishness makes me kirs, and this is my blog....so I'll kirs when I want to.

Sometimes I'm ashamed of my own people.

Black youth need to wake the hell up. I don't give shit where you're from, no excuse to kill inocent people. Especially the ones who actually have their head on straight and are trying to do something with their life.

He was an honor student and was probably just minding his own business when he was attacked, and killed by a gotdamn mob of thuggish-ass-ignorant-ass-no-home-training-having-black barbarians.

This act of violence inflicted on Derrion Albert, 16, of Chicago, was senseless. They say there is a tape of his murder, now what sick and twisted individual would tape the slaying of an innocent kid? I am never going to watch the video...I couldn't take seeing the murder of a kid just walking home from school.

This boy will never have the chance to grow up, go to Prom, take his SAT's, apply to college, graduate from high school, and begin to really live. They took that from him and it wasn't theirs to take.

I cannot imagine what his family and friends are going through right now.

I hope the thugs who killed him are found, prosecuted, and thrown under the jail.

I'm done. [Full Story]

HAPPY BIRTHDAY T.I.!!!!

This morning as I was speeding driving down the highway I noticed the radio station I was jamming to kept playing my fave rapper T.I. As I wondered what was going on, I thought he died, they broke in and announced that today is in fact his BIRTHDAY!

Clifford Joseph Harris, Jr. aka T.I.P aka T.I. turns 29 years young today!

I would say that I hope he enjoys himself and does something crazy, but seeing as though he's in the penn jail behind bars joint...maybe I should just say:

"Keep your head up and lets try celebrating this great day at another location next year! Jail cells don't really scream, 'celebration'. HAPPY BIRTHDAY SIR! " :)

Peep one of my fave T.I. songs below!

Anyway, ya'll get the point of what I'm trying to display...the man is SEXY!

Video: Forever-Drake feat. Eminem, Lil Wayne, & Kanye West

The video has just been released for the single, Forever by Drake feat. Eminem, Lil' Wayne, and Kanye West.

The song is for the Lebron-o-mentary documentary: More Than A Game, which follows the story of Lebron  James and whatstheyface  four of his teammates from their high school basketball team to the NBA.

The movie looks good although, they keep saying the movie just doesn't follow James, but from what I'm seeing....it looks like an HBO Real Sports biography on Lebron.

Will someone cue Bryant Gumbel?

Please and thank you!
Peep the video!

Sexiness of the Day: Pooch Hall

DAMN it has got to be a crime to be this damn sexy irresistible gorgeous handsome fine!

Randomness: I'm so upset mad that the evildoers CW cancelled the hottest black show on television!

THE GAME, was my shit! I'm still upset and its been months. I guess I should get over it and seek help.

Yeah....about that.

Kirs Files: How Thin Is TOO Thin?

Now, I've been gawking looking at pictures of Ciara for a while and thought that she looked a tad bit...umerumm....thin.

I know she does a lot of dancing and was an athlete in high school, so I just figured that she likes to work-out and keep herself toned....but these days it seems like she's overdoing it.

Am I crazy trippin'?

Enlighten me.

Man on the Moon: End of Day- Kid Cudi

Kid Cudi has finally officially dropped his first album, Man On the Moon: The End of Day. The album seems to be a fusion of indie hip-hop eclectic folky weird music! I love it!

This is not your uncle's gangster rap. If you do not have an open-mind this album will completely disgust/annoy you.

Reviews are in though...

LA Times
The one overly consistent element, unfortunately, is Cudi's voice. His unhurried nasal flow is highly recognizable, but doesn't quite convey the sly wit of precursors like Slick Rick and Snoop Dogg. He's best when he lets the fog lift on more extroverted cuts like the funny "Make Her Say" and "Enter Galactic." Let's hope Kid Cudi finds a few more ladies to take into space on his next journey; they seem to help him get beyond his habits and hang-ups.
NY Daily News
For the most part, the pace drags, though we do get a few perkier stretches, including "Make Her Say," which samples Lady Gaga's "Poker Face" in a way that offers more burpy fun than the original. Still, those few peaks of animation can't make up for the dire landscape of the rest. Worse, for an album whose whole point is to channel the wild imagination of the unconscious, Cudi's shows precious little of it.

Rolling Stone
The music is engrossing and Cudi's angst genuine (he mourns his dead father), but his raps get pedestrian ("Gray clouds up above, man/Metaphor to my life, man"). And asserting ad nauseam that he is a "lonely stoner" is just annoying — a hipster boast masquerading as a confession.

So the consensus, take it as a grain of salt, is that the album is annoying and he whines...okay...got it. Ehhh what do they know anyway?!

There was one critic who actually thought it was pretty good...

Boston Globe
The premise is that Kid Cudi’s not on the same planet as other rappers. The truth is that he’s not in the same genre. “Man on the Moon: The End of Day,’’ his long-awaited debut album, is a lot of things. It’s spacey, adventurous, and ridiculously intriguing if only because it’s so different.

But it’s not rap. And that’s not a bad thing. Following Andre 3000’s “The Love Below’’ and Kanye West’s “808s & Heartbreak’’ in a subset of experimental and emotional hip-hop, “Man on the Moon’’ might be the most fully-formed of them all. What he lacks in pure rapping ability Cudi more than makes up for with infectious melodies and powerful hooks. It’s more Fall Out Boy than Fabolous.

Using as a skeleton his 2008 mix-tape, “A Kid Named Cudi,’’ which spawned the megahit “Day N Nite,’’ Cudi fleshes out that sound perfectly through rich production by Emile, Plain Pat, MGMT, and Ratatat. The concept of splitting the album into five acts and 15 scenes comes together without getting in the way of the music. Woozy wrist-slitters like “Solo, Dolo (Nightmare)’’ are chased by the bouncy liveliness of “Enter Galactic (Love Connection Part I),’’ and it’s easy to follow along as the emotions ebb and flow.

Song I dig!

Are Pigs Flying?: Jay-Z Meets Oprah

Now, I know I've seen a lot of crazy things lately, but I do not remember pigs flying being one of them. This is crazy different for the Big "O".... she's def not the biggest supporter of rap music....so this little meeting kind of perterbs intrigues me.

*Ludacris I would LOVE to know what you're thinking right about now! Somebody find Luda for me, thanks!

I cannot wait until this airs! Rappers around the globe are sucking their teeth right about now!

Don't hate the rapper, hate the politics.

I saw, Cage The Elephant, on one of the late night shows, Dave Letterman, Carson Live, Jimmy Kimmel, etc, yeah I can't remember which show it was...so sue me.

Kirs Files: The Bottle Should Have Been A Warning!

lol, He really came to the VMA's with a bottle of Henny?!
This should have warned folks that he was about to be on some other stuff!
We already know Kanye can't hold his liquor at award shows!

Who remembers this....Kanye & the EMA's

Kirs[ed] Thoughts: The VMA's

My thoughts on the VMA show!

Excuse my appearance. It was Sunday. Late. I was tired.

Kirs Files: Kanye West Apologizes...Well Kind of...

So Kanye West has apologized, in his own way, after bumrushing the stage in protest of Taylor Swift, receiving the VMA for Best Female Video instead of Beyonce.

The poor child was mid way through her speech when Kanye West hopped on stage, grabbed the mic, and proceeded to tell her that she should not have won...because...well...Beyonce's video was better.

Kirs Approved: Mtv's Bully Beatdown

I love this show! Its every nerds dream!

The bullies get their asses kicked by PROFESSIONAL MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) fighters!

The bullies KNOW they're going up against professional fighters but because their mind is so warped and their egoes are so big, they actually think they can beat them!

They never do!

I'll let Mtv explain the rules...because they do such a fine job at it and I would be sitting here all day trying to explain them!
Fight rules are simple: There are two rounds of fighting with
up to $10,000 at stake for each three-minute round. Round 1 involves grappling
and submissions; The Bully starts the round with $5,000, but will lose $1,000
every time he "taps out." If at any time the bully manages to submit the MMA
fighter, the bully wins an additional $5,000 bonus. Round 2 is all about
kickboxing; the bully will win another $5,000 if he can survive three minutes of
kickboxing with the MMA fighter without getting knocked out. If the bully gets
knocked out, quits or the referee stops the fight before the end of the round,
he gets nothing. If the bully manages to knock out the MMA fighter, he gets a
$5,000 bonus. Any money deducted from the bully in either Round 1 or Round 2
will go to the victims. [Source]

New Tunes Alert: Chris Brown leaks 'Twitter' via Twitter

Chris Brown just leaked one of his new songs, "Twitter" via his...well....Twitter page!

How ironic?

Clean your ears out and take a listen, then enlighten me with a comment! Thanks!

Twitter by Chris Brown

Have You Laughed Today?

No commentary needed.

Its quick and to the point.

That looked like it hurt, lol

Kirs Files: Chris Brown Let's Folks In...

Into his house that is, via his Twitter page: http://www.twitter.com/MechanicalDummy

What I find the most mind boggling though, is the fact that some people are outraged by some of his posessions and the way his house is decorated!

He's 20 years old with millions of dollars. What did you think his house would look like?

Peep some of the photos below

ATTENTION: TYRA BANKS IS NOT BALD HEADED!

Yes folks, she has a good head of hair under the 10lb+ wig/extension stuff she wears!

Now we can all go back to living our lives because Tyra is not-in fact-bald.

Thanks for clearing that up Tyra girl, lol

Kirs Approved: The Osiris Brand!

*These are not the pair I have, but they're still hot!

Now anyone who knows me knows that I love to wear sneakers! I'll wear a hot pair of kicks over heels anyday, and I make no apologies for it!

****Sidenote: I'm about 5'10 anyway, so people prefer that I wear anything flat vs. something that would make me look like the Jolly Green Giant.****

I discoverd the Osiris brand while I was spending some time in New Jersey for the 4th of July. I wasn't supposed to buy anything from anywhere but once I saw the Bronx shoe from the C.A.N.V.A.S Series, limited edition sneakers designed by artists from all over, I knew I had to have them!

So I bought them! Guys stop me and ask about my sneakers everytime I wear them!

The prices are average and you can get a decent pair for about $50+.

Kirs Artist Spotlight: Justin Bieber

So, I'm on my computer and I hear this kid singing in the background on MtvJams.
He really needs no introduction.
He's 15 and from Canada.
The boy plays a handful of instruments and can sing his lil' heart out! Where did he get so much soul from?!
Watch Justin in action!

This is his first official single:
Song: One Time
Label: Island Def Jam
*Lol at Usher getting hit in the head by a volleyball at the end!

Kirs Throwback: The Golden Girls Buy Condoms!

I just love the show "The Golden Girls"! Those ladies crack me up! Peep one of the classic scenes from show!

Senior Citizens buying condoms.

Rose, Blanche, Dorothy, and Sophia are like my homies. Love them!

Where did they come up with their material?

Kirs Snack of the Day: Andy Capp's Cheddar Fries

I feel like I need a bag right now! Notice I didn't say some...I said BAG! Yeah I'm greedy, and who are you to judge me?

If you've never tasted them you have no idea what you're missing. They're tangy, crunchy, and covered in cheese. Does it get any better than that?

I think not!

Don't be fooled by other imitations! They ain't the real product! There is only one brand worthy of the monetary donation...Andy Capp's.

Have You Laughed Today?

Laughing is one of my fave things to do. If you haven't laughed today, then take a gander at this video.

He should have just stayed down!

Hits Kirs Believes In: SlaughterHouse

Is it new? Not really, but I'm just starting to hear it.

Kirs Consesus: I dig, I dig.
*Yes, Joe Budden is in this group.
Artist: SlaughterHouse
Song: The One
Label: Koch Records
Alubum: SlaughterHouse
Drops: OUT NOW!

Kirs Files: Joe Budden Sez....

Joe Budden is hilarious! I'm going to start a blog post called, "Joe Budden Sez". The stuff this man comes up with is absolutely entertaining!

In this BlogTv clip, Joe gives advice to one of his producer/friends on how to get females, and most "importantly" how to get them to have sex with him.

Ladies take notes...let's try to avoid falling for some of the lines he says worked on countless women.
A Few pearls of wisodom:
"I'm bout to go hop in the shower....it always works."
"This shit [sex game] is like spades...."
"I'm thinking about you...it never fails."
*Is there kirsing? Of course there is. Prudes stay away.

The Revolution Will Be Televised: Howard Univerisity Edition

Howard University students are now engaged in a protest outside of the "A" Building (Howard vernacular for the Financial Aid Building). Students are protesting account holds, inadequate housing for students, and a whole laundry list of many more issues that HU students have to deal with on a regular basis.

I went to Howard for my first two years of college, so I am fully aware of the problems associated between students and the administration. The Howard administration relies heavily on its history and legacy as a means to ignore current issues that plague the university. For the most part Howard students have kind of lived by the phrase "Whatever happens at Howard, stays at Howard", its a way to protect the Universities image. Many students put on a brave face and represent Howard to the fullest when in reality they are being mistreated and not respected.

Its about time they hear your voice! Though I am no longer a Howard student...I still feel very much connected to the Howard community. I support you all!

Keep it peaceful and let's not get arrested!

Tweets from TwitterLand:

Mario is "Thinkin' Bout You"

The rumored second single from Baltimore native, Mario's fourth studio album "D.N.A" is the mid-tempo track "Thinkin' Bout You". I like it...but then again I pretty much like whatever music he puts out.

Curious? Take a listen. Enlighten me.

Show him some love!

50 Cent: Flight 187

I feel like "old 50" is on his way back! He's been gone for a while but I think he's slowly making his way back home. The song and video is interesting...he shed some light on the things he's been going through. The song is kind of sad though.

Thoughts? Enlighten me.

Chris Brown Hits and Misses w/ Larry King

So I am upset that I have to type this whole thing all over again because I literally had the whole thing typed up yesterday and then something mysterious happened and all of my work was erased...a mess...I know. So this 2nd attempt I am typing on my Blogger account...since...well Blogger has an automatic save feature...so if for some reason my computer wanted to do something random and crazy...my work will have been saved already.

Facebook needs to get on board with the automatic save feature...like yesterday.

So this note will be condensed and to the point.

Here we go.

I love Chris Brown...I do....but I gotta call a spade a spade... that thing they call an interview that he did yesterday was a complete and utter bunch of foolishness.

Who is his PR person? Chris would have never spoken until I knew he could make complete sentences filled with something that actually made sense.

He was inarticulate, spoke in circles, and didn't want to answer half the questions he was asked about the incident.

Now correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't the whole reason for him doing Larry King to give some of the details that pertained to the fight that took place that night. I think the interview, had it been executed right, could have shown him in a good light. He could have schooled the youth on noticing the warning signs of a violent person who might commit an act of domestic violence. They need to know what triggered his agression, how he felt before the incident, what was going on in his mind while the incident was happening, and how he feels now looking back on the situation.

He says and they say he showed no signs of agression before the beat down. I say bull.shit. There is always smoke before a fire and volcanoes don't erupt without the ground trembling, smoke showing, and a few living things dying...there are always signs. A shove, a push, a random agressive outburst, those are all "signs".

There were signs.

Bottom-Line
If I was his PR person he would have never sat down for that interview unprepared. His first interview, if I were in charge, would have been in a print magazine....preferably People. The print interview would only have been done after he performed some of his communtity service, talked with young men about domestic violence, and practiced answering questions articulately. After all of this "Prep PR" as I call it he would have then sat down with Larry King and answered questions.

He would have been prepared by then.

People keep asking me if I think his career is over. His career is no where near over. He will sell records regardless, without being on BET, MTV, etc. He doesn't have to promote anything to get folks to buy his music and listen to it. His fans are very dedicated that way.

Oh and please don't make me use my R.Kelly pedophile ass example again. The man urinated on underage girls and can still sell a million records. Chris can beat a chick ass and sell at least two mil.

No lol needed. Wasn't a joke.

Right now he needs to stay out of the clubs, or at least stop getting photographed while he's in them, and gain the naysayers respect again. Its all possible...he just needs to focus, and make smarter decisions.

I think Rihanna and Chris's relationship was toxic. You can love someone and know in your heart that you shouldn't be together. You got to love them enough to let them go...because if you don't things like THIS will happen.

I'm done with this shit now! LOL :)

It didn't get deleted! Hooray!
